Part-time Bum
I feel like I'm just taking up summer classes. In fact, I believe summer classes are better since you get to go to school everyday. Having been enrolled in only 1 subject this semester, my tf 4-530 classes are the only "break times" for a daily schedule of bumming around.
I still have my post as the IEEE Philippines webmaster though. It should keep me busy since I should update the website in preparation for upcoming events. The posting of results of the MADC is already overdue. Another IEEE event which is the E2C2ECon (formerly ECE Conference) would commence this thursday. It's just hard to continue the website when my dorm connection becomes unreliable most of the time. I'm really not accustomed to slow connections.
As posted earlier, my thesis group is also preparing for our presentation for the conference. We're hopeful to get the best paper award despite having tough competition from 3 other entries. Notably, one entry was a Master's thesis of a current PhD candidate. ファイト!
Lately, I've been bumming around just so to feed my boredom. I had already watched half of the anime series Ouran Host Club (a token coming from my learning partner in Jap12-13 last semester. I was able to copy some movies from Gordon's ipod (i.e. The Longest Yard - I really like american football). I am to watch seasons 3 & 4 of the Charmed series. I got to play ff7 (I'm in the near end of disk1!), and still I already have a game ready to be installed (Elder Scrolls : Morrowind). Geez, with these activities, I am practically glued in front of my laptop.
At times when I no longer want screen sucking, Neil Gaiman's American Gods is always ready (I'm at chapter 4). *Sigh* I'm so bummed. Not to mention the upcoming Engineering week, making us forget academics for the meantime. Just too bad there is no lawn tennis tournament in this year's Eng'g week events. To think I'm the defending Eng'g champion :( Still, Tennis UP would be having a tournament of its own this Dec 9-10.
I almost forgot, level 4 JLPT is set on December 3 already!! I should be studying! Good thing Weng-sensei is kind enough to sponsor free jlpt reviews. I hope I could review well, especially since the exam comes after the ECE Conference.
