scion_choWhile witnessing the Kanamara Matsuri, it was also the only time I went out to take pictures of Sakura this Spring.
Sakuras bloom almost everywhere in Japan. Cherry Blossom trees are greatly adored here even though they go into fruition only for around 2 weeks. For the Japanese, this represents life's fleeting moment.

scion_choThe Kanamara Matsuri (Festival of the Steel Phallus) is an annual Shinto fertility festival held in Kawasaki, Japan in spring.
(wiki)Females are being asked to lineup at the wooden phallus and pose with a lollipop. 'Instinctively', this is what they do.

Dulawitog is a combined name for Dula, Awit at Tugtog (play, songs and sounds)
